Transfer: Osimhen staying with us – Galatasaray president, Ozbek

  Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has announced that Victor Osimhen will remain with the club for the upcoming season. The Nigerian striker spent the previous campaign on loan with the Turkish Super Lig champions.

On Sunday, Osimhen turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, despite their willingness to activate his €75 million release clause. The 26-year-old has expressed a strong desire to continue playing in Europe.

Özbek confirmed that discussions are ongoing to finalize the terms of Osimhen’s contract.

"Victor Osimhen is staying at Galatasaray; his commitment to the club is the key factor. Negotiations are in progress," he told Hürriyet.
"We hope to share good news with you next week."
