Veteran Nollywood actor Lalude has publicly called out MC Oluomo, President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), for allegedly failing to deliver on promises made to him and fellow celebrities who campaigned for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.
Lalude voiced his disappointment in a viral video shared on social media, accusing MC Oluomo — who coordinated the campaign efforts — of reneging on financial pledges made to the entertainers.
“My colleagues and I campaigned for President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu, yet we didn’t receive a single kobo after the campaign,” Lalude lamented. “We abandoned our work for over a month to support them. MC Oluomo personally told Alapini and me to name what we wanted, which we did, but he never came through.”
He went further to say, “My curse will follow those sitting on the money for the rest of their lives.”
During the 2023 elections, several celebrities — including Toyin Abraham, Alapini, Olaiye Igwe, Lege Miami, Eniola Badmus, and Seyi Law — actively supported and campaigned for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu’s candidacy.
